Four steps. All free.
The first two take five minutes. Joining is free, and you never pay for a job you find here.
Step 1 of 4 · Join
Follow the channel, then pick your group.
Anyone can follow the channel. Jobs and the Lounge open with a link. Traffic & Transport and the Executive Circle screen people first. Joining the community also adds you to Announcements.
Traffic & Transport
Traffic marshals, supervisors, signage, zone and transport managers, for events, festivals and large projects. Experienced people only.
Added after screening Request to join ↗Executive Circle
Project, production, event and operations managers, heads and directors. Senior roles, contracts and projects.
Seniority checked before you are in Request to join ↗Community Lounge
The one place to talk. Ask about a job post, share what you learned on site, help someone new.
Questions and introductions Join the Lounge ↗House rules: join from a UAE WhatsApp number, or the request is not approved. Jobs go in the job groups, talk goes in the Lounge. Unprofessional or unethical behaviour means removal. The group links open after a 20-second sign-up: your name, your email and the work you want.

Step 4 of 4 · Optional · Consultation calls
New to UAE events? Ask me one to one.
For people starting out, or moving in from another job. I started at the bottom of an exhibition floor in 2013. That was the first of 17 roles.

What is the minimum day rate for event staff posted in HUSTLERS?
240 AED a day. A role that pays less is not posted, whether the shift is in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or anywhere else in the UAE. It is the community’s own rule, and I set it to protect freelance rates. It is not a legal minimum wage. What a role pays above it depends on the role, the hours and the event, and the employer states it in the post.
I am looking for event work. Should I message Ibrahim?
Follow the HUSTLERS channel on WhatsApp first: whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbDmzpS59PwQOp6fCz1T. Anyone can follow it. Vetted UAE roles go up in Hustlers Jobs, and the link to join is on this page. Join from a UAE WhatsApp number, or the request is not approved. Follow the rules: unprofessional or unethical behaviour means removal. My own number is for people hiring crew, or hiring me.
Is there a WhatsApp group for event freelancers in the UAE?
Yes. HUSTLERS is a free WhatsApp community of 500+ event crew and freelancers in the UAE, in five groups: Announcements, Hustlers Jobs, Traffic & Transport, the Executive Circle and the Community Lounge. Roles are vetted and nothing is posted under 240 AED a day. Hustlers Jobs and the Lounge open with a link on this page, and the two specialist groups add people after screening.
How do I join HUSTLERS as an event freelancer?
Pick the group that matches your work on this page. Hustlers Jobs, for ushers, hosts, promoters and crew, and the Community Lounge, for questions, open with a link. Traffic & Transport, for experienced marshals and zone and transport managers, and the Executive Circle, for senior managers and directors, take people only after screening: message the admin with your role and experience. Joining is free, and you never pay for a job you find through HUSTLERS.
Can I book a call with Ibrahim about getting into UAE events?
Yes. A consultation call is 15 minutes for $50 or 30 minutes for $100, booked from this page. It is for people new to UAE events, or moving into them from another field. A call is advice. It does not come with a job, and I will not promise you one. For open roles, follow the HUSTLERS channel.
Who runs HUSTLERS?
I do. I am Ibrahim Muhammad Naeem, an event production and operations manager in Dubai, and I founded HUSTLERS and set its rules: 240 AED a day minimum, vetted roles only, screening for Traffic & Transport and the Executive Circle, and ethical values written into what gets posted. More about me is on the about page.
